Les têtes

Creating human portraits by questioning the notion of language.

A simple form, a refined head on which appeared only the outline of an orifice from which escaped quantities of matter.

Borrowing the ancestral gestures of clay shaping, I made pots modeled on the plate and the doves. My pots, once turned over, inspired me with anthropomorphic figures and became heads. Inflated and smooth spacesuits in sober, raw, enameled or engobed colors, they seem airtight and mute at first but only ask to express themselves. For this, materials such as wood, rubber from an inner tube and wool escape and translate their states of mind.

Both a control tower and a conductor, the head is the citadel which culminates and leads in the body.
